Frequently asked questions

How Does Rosacea Treatment Work?

Rosacea responds well to Intense Pulsed Light treatments. The light heats the vessel sufficiently to thermo-coagulate the vessel. Some vessels will disappear instantly, and others can take a few weeks for the body to absorb them.

Maintenance treatments will be required to keep control of the condition as Rosacea cannot be permanently ‘cured’.

How Many Sessions Are Needed?

An average of 3-6 treatments are required depending on the severity of the Rosacea.

How Often Will I Need A Treatment?

You will need one treatment every 4-6 weeks. Once you have completed a course of treatments, maintenance top ups will be needed as and when required.

Does The Treatment Hurt?

Most people describe the treatment as a warming or tingling of the skin, and in some cases a flick of an elastic band sensation.

Most treatments are easy and quick to perform. We will apply some soothing gel after each treatment to help minimise discomfort and redness to the treatment area.
